Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen is a hot spring town on the southern end of Chikuma City. Long ago, Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen was a popular spot for pilgrims to stop for a moment of relaxation on their way to and from Zenkoji Temple.

Nowadays, Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen caters for both tour groups and individual travelers who come to soak in hot spring mineral baths, and enjoy the hospitality that only traditional Japanese Ryokan Inns can offer.

Togura-Kamiyamada is also known for its Geisha originally from the Geisha districts of Tokyo. These Geisha can often be seen in town partaking in local festivals or at large banquets entertaining guests with traditional song and dance.
